We’re proud to welcome Vincent Scheffer as an intern here at our Haiku headquarters. He will be working on some of our up and coming products together with us, so keep your eyes open for his footprint in next year’s range.
The last couple of days the north shore got couple of good swells, they were getting better day after day… Sunday a winter class swell came in and after towing in the morning Keith pilled up some sailing to his busy day!
You ever get out on the water after a long hiatus, perhaps with nukin’ conditions or large waves or offshore winds, etc… and just sort of need to dial it in, feeling vulnerable and tentative?
That was my day yesterday until…
11:15AM, lighter winds, underpowered 4.7, 4 guys out, trying to get through the large sets coming in. Chicken jibing. Getting out. Dialing in the first wave ride with a quick, tentative single cutback. Repeat several times.
The wind started filling in perfectly and my confidence blossomed. Felt good all day long, just playing in the largish surf. The Fall wave season is back and I feel great.
Not much to say yet, so we let the pictures speak and leave you chewing your nails.

A German beer, ole stories and a good night’s sleep, that’s about all I could pamper Lalo with on his way to the PWA Worldcup in Klitmoeller Denmark. They call it the Cold Hawaii, maybe that’s why he felt so compelled to go. Either way, I’m sure the Goya booth will rock galore, so if you can free up some time and are in the region, go pack up now! I myself can’t go, unfortunately. I’m off to Maui to meet up with the guys and talk about what’s next. What is next? 2012? Can you fathom? We can’t, haha, so I think we’ll all be careless for a while and focus on riding that lovely 2011 Goya gear.
Just as we thought, the Surf is the board of choice for not only former World Champions, but also future aspiring ones.
