COMMENT Comments Off on MARCILIO BROWNE is now on Goya

You’ve heard about it, but it was not official until now: We are happy to share the news with you that Brawzinho is the latest addition to the Goya team family!!! Yes, indeed, MARCILIO BROWNE in now on Goya!

Brawzinho has recently moved to Maui, so it’s natural our paths merged. We believe he influences wave sailing in the most amazing ways, he makes the forefront of today’s moves look like they were a piece of cake, and he will keep on pushing the sport forward in the years to come! We are ultimately excited to have such an inspiration onboard!

WHAT BRAWZINHO AND THE TEAM HAVE TO SAY:

Brawzinho:
“Being on Goya is a dream, Francisco has had a really big impact on me as I was growing up. I feel right at home and get along really well with everyone in the company, it all just makes perfect sense and i am really excited for the years to come!”

Francisco Goya:
“Braw is on a mission, pushing the progression of the sport on every angle. To have the opportunity to work with him is a dream. He has been breaking down the walls inside the sport for years now and he is just getting started. I believe he got the potential to represent Windsurfing for decades to come. ”

Jason Diffin:
“I’m super stoked to be working with Marcilio “Brawzinho” Browne in to 2012. His sailing style is really inspirational to me. Inventive, powerful, technical and fluid maneuvers combined with a wide range of wave knowledge make Brawzinho incredibly fun and exciting to watch. I welcome the challenge of creating sails that will help Brawzinho reach his competitive and free sailing goals, and I especially look forward to seeing how this R&D will improve the Goya Sails product line. Welcome to the Goya Team Brawzinho!”

Winning the 2012 American Windsurfing Tour’s Women Windsurfing Maui event, the Makani Classic, gave Junko a serious set of wings, and you could see her ripping strong all winter so far.

With the new year uncorked, and her moving on and slicing through Hookipa’s swell in her token style, it’s evident that hardware will find its way into Junko’s possession. Since we don’t have any “New Year’s” pictures of Junko ripping the tides just yet, we’ll give you a set of AWT shots that nevertheless give you an idea of what we’re talking about.

Women windsurfing is alive and healthy and Goya Windsurfing is excited to be part of it.

COMMENT Comments Off on MINDS WIDE OPEN MOVIE PREMIERE @ CAFE MAMBO

Last week we could enjoy the projection of Minds wide open @ Cafe Mambo in Paia..Was it a success? We over heard someone saying: “If you thought interest for windsurfing was slowly dying, you might want to rethink it” ..The place was packed, way before the movie started and we were around 30 standing outside to peek on the screen inside. It was nice to see not only the windsurfing community was gathered but also local surfers and after seeing the movie, we’d only agree it was mind opening!

The movie was sick, great balance of lifestyle and action!
Lot’s of guys were there and the party ended @ Charley’s with drinks and music!

Enjoy the blurry pics below!

Dear Goyawindsurfing

“Just to report back from Estonia… Our windsurfing season is about to end, and we just had some fun days with warm enough weather and hopefully there is yet more to come. Yesterday, I almost managed to lose my favourite gear in our wave spot Ristna that is located at the end of a peninsula on an island. There is quite a strong current close to the shore that takes everything to the open sea. Luckily, one good soul, a fellow Quatro rider, saw it and prevented the gear from taking a long journey to Finland : )

It’s my third year on Goya gear and although we sail here what seems just a few times per year, I have improved my wave riding a bit. And in this I am blaming the fantastic gear! Thank you guys a lot!

A bit lengthy video for you to enjoy!

Best winds and waves and sunshine to you all,

Taavi
