The centered lift keeps the sail neutral in the hands while maintaining excellent drive and low-end power. The result is greater speeds, confidence, reduced fatigue, and calm handling when conditions become demanding.

Compared to the Banzai 12 and Surf 2, the Max 2 carries its lift slightly higher and more centered, promoting an upright, neutral stance with strong drive and controlled power delivery.
Larger sizes feature a more circular leech outline to maintain compact handling and lighter rotational feel throughout the range.
Banzai Max 2 stays locked in and composed when the wind spikes, while remaining responsive and maneuverable when the surf lines up.
The Banzai Max 2 shares the same outline as the Banzai 12, which features a larger foot outline and a lower clew, keeping the sail anchored around the rider for increased control and stability. A reduced head outline lightens the sail in the hands, enhancing its neutral, effortless feel through every turn. The 5-batten layout increases the overall stability of the sail, especially in demanding conditions.
Stretch Control.
Radial Stretch Control significantly increases sail stability and range by keeping the lower section full and powerful, the mid-section locked and stable, and the upper section free to twist efficiently. The result is a sail that feels exceptionally light in the hands, balanced, and comfortable across a wide wind range. Radial Stretch Control tendons minimize stretch, distribute loads efficiently, and allow for the lightest and most effective reinforcement layout possible.

Circular Leech.
The Circular Leech Outline concept delivers additional power, especially in the larger sizes where efficient drive is critical. Increased chord length through the midsection creates more usable power while avoiding excessive boom length, head size, or foot area. The result is a sail that combines strong low-end performance and range with a lighter, smaller feel in the hands during powered sailing and maneuvers.
The sail remains balanced and reactive while preserving smooth control through gusts and high-speed transitions.
X Pro is built identically to the Pro version, but replaces the window panel with full X-Ply construction. Designed for riders prioritizing maximum durability in high-impact or remote sailing environments, X Pro eliminates exposed monofilm or Bi-Ply panels entirely. Choose X Pro when maximum window-area protection is the priority.
Body Panels. The new X-Ply body panels increase stability, precision, quickness, and long-term durability throughout the entire Banzai range. Refined panel layout and material orientation improve energy transfer and reflex response, creating a cleaner and more immediate connection between wind, sail, and rider. The result is improved reflex, cleaner energy transfer, and a more composed feel through gusts, transitions, and extended use. X-Ply also effectively prevents tears from traveling. Material selection and load distribution are engineered not only for performance, but for maintaining that performance over extended use. Durability is built into the structure, not added as an afterthought—through X-Ply body panels, reinforced foot materials, protected seams, and carefully controlled load paths. Hi Team Quatro! I recently bought a 94l power as my bump and jump lowend weapon to be used in sub average conditions in North West Germany (side-on, onshore small waves; sometimes flat-water with messy chop). Right now my biggest sail is a Banzai Pro 5.3, which gets me going at around 19 knots.
I would like to get a bigger size Banzai Max soon. Do you really think, I can ride the board with a 6.0m Banzai Max or should I go for the 5.7m sail? I appreciate your feedback!

Your weight will be the only factor that determines whether you can plug a 6.0.
Something else to consider is the mast you combine it with and how light and fast it is. One of the nice features of our masts is their interconnectability across sizes. So on the 5.7, you can plug in the 430 base with a 400 top, making your masts even lighter.

I tried the Banzai Max two days ago in Wissant France. The 5.7 size. That was really confortable, not too big; Really happy about the sail for my first try. Just wondering wich mast you reco, the 100% or the 80%.

For this size of sail, Banzai max 5,7, I will go with the 100% mast to get better response in the light wind range, unless you have a strong shorebreak/surf where you might need the 80%.
