We are super pleased to re-introduce a favorite, the Eclipse Pro. A concept once abandoned in favor of 4 and 3 batten sails, 5 batten wave sails are back on the rise, due to lighter materials and build concepts developed over the past decade.
Marcilio Browne pushed for a 5 batten sail to deliver more stability with an additional batten aloft. The Eclipse Pro is a Variowave concept, with a huge range in mind, form light wind capability – due to its light build weight – to super strong storm conditions – due to its added control abilities.
Complementing the Banzai Pro 4 batten sail, the Eclipse Pro 5 batten wave sail is an excellent option if you sail a spot with big wind strength changes within the sailing area, or if the wind super gusty and you still want a “power” wave sail.
Heavier riders often benefit from five battens in sails 5.0 and larger.
The Eclipse Pro is Marcilio Browne’s personal Pro Model.
The new Goya Windsurfing sails now come packed in recycled cardboard and paper tape only. No redundant plastic bags. Your sail bag is that protective bag, keeping your planet, our planet, one step cleaner. We figured it’s a worthy trade off, as our love for windsurfing and the planet only grows.
Pro Construction, Bi-Ply window & Scrim panels.
Available in 3,7, 4,0, 4,2, 4,5, 4,7, 5,0, 5,3, 5,5, 5,7, 6,0, 6,3 square meters.

Hi!
The contact form did not work - so I try this one:
Will there be an Eclipse 6.3 in the range 24/25, will it be technical the same as the 22/23 version, how will it look and when will it be available?
Best regards, Peter.
Response: Aloha Peter, thank you for reaching out. Yes, the New Banzai Max is our 5 batten Wave/Freewave Sail, the evolution of our previous Eclipse. It is already available across our dealers worldwide. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anythign that we can help you with.
I already wrote to you when the old Eclipse went out of production because it was a sail that I loved. I switched to Guru and I was really happy until I tried the new Eclipse: simply the best sail of the world in gusty winds! The range is already incredible without even touching downhoul and outhaul, but if you spend time on it it becomes huge. The only downside is you can't use the duotone fast loop because the downhoul rolls are really close to the sail, but I bet you want it to be like that, to save some millimetres rigging it. Well done, really well done, it's a joy to ride.
Response: Hi Pier, thank you for your stoked on our gear. Please note that you can also run a 4/1 loop rope through our pulley system, just rotate the center wheel in the pulley until you see the opening. All the best, Francisco
I#m very happy with my Eclipse 6.2 i love the sensation that you control the sail completely. It feels little as it is ans ist very strong, you have the sensation that you can fall on the sail and will not broken. I also love the design., the black and white one looks amazing and match perfectly my Board One 105 from the same year (2015).
I'm very happy with both, sail and board. Thank you!
The past years the Fringe and Guru were a bit my personal favorites. But I have to say since I tried the first time the new Eclipse (4.2&4.5) this sail is right up there. Especially in gusty side-on conditions we often have out at the Northshore spots this sail rocks as well. Even in bigger swell.
Love this sail! Does everything I need it to. Good full bottom for power. Fairly fast and stable on the top end Extremely disappointed that it has been discontinued. Wish I had bought a full quiver of them.
My favorite by a mile. Controlable power when you need it and plenty of range. Swapped an entire quiver of other sails for these. A bit heavy, but performance advantage far outweighs it. Run these on Maui's north shore.
Hi Francisco,
I just wanted to let you know that I finally had a chance to try my new 2013 Goya Eclipse Power Wave 6.8 sail for the first time. The sail performs remarkably well I must say. As Jason says, "this is a power generating sail." Isn't that the truth!! It feels that I have a magic turbo built into my board. I have never had a goya sail before, let alone having a sail perform like this before. Absolutely phenomenal!!
I'm using this sail on my new JP Magic Ride 111 Pro Edition that I just purchased. When the season started a month ago, I didn't want to take the Goya sail out just yet until I felt dialed into the Magic Ride, so I used my Severne Convert 6.7 sail for several sessions until I new the Magic Ride's performance statis. The board is amazing to me and plenty fast, but when I sailed the board with the Goya sail, that's when I noticed a huge difference in power. I love this sail!!!!
Looked windy when we arrived after noon. Decided to try the Goya Eclipse 5.7 since a friend kindly loned it to me for demo. Not the right sail size for our quiver at the moment but always wanted to try the Goyas. Easy to rig and well balanced on the water. Set it up for medium conditions and was surprised at the power this sail generates. The first hour was really light but I managed to plane a lot more than I thought I would. The wind kicked up a bit around 5:00 and I was nicely powered enough to make some duck jibes. Kinda cloudy afternoon and evening but still warm.
Enhorabuena por tus velas! Son las mejores que existen!
Saludos y buen viento! JMM
Keep up the great work Jason.! Loved your x-flex sails; the Eclipse is a perfect evolution of the design (or at least that's this sailors take on it). Light and almost punchy for the on-shore s#!t I sail, yet smooth and neutral when dialed. Damn nice sail, thanks.
Hola Francisco,
Pablo.
Hi Jason,
Thanks again for meeting with me last weekend, I quite enjoyed our chat
and can't stop telling everyone how you not only design and produce the best sails in the market...but are also a pleasure to speak with! I look
forward to saying hello agin to you in Maui this fall.
Best regards,
Steve
Salut team Goya
I promised you in our last exchange that I would give you my feed back on my Goya equipment.
I decided this year to change all my quiver for Goya sails (4.2+4.7 in guru + 5.3+5.7+6.2 in eclipse) + 2 goya boards quad 84+104L.
First of all, the sails. They are nice for sure but does correspond exactly to what I was expected: eclipse are powerfull and dynamic sails and the guru, good sails for strong winds. They seem to be very strong and when I rigg them, the material does not get "folded" as it was with my previous brand. So the sails after few trials stay in the same condition. When I fall down, the sails does not mark.It gives me confidence to try moves that I wouldn't have consider before....Jason has done a great job
I am looking forward to test the new 4.6 Banzaï as the program will more correspond to my weight (90kgs) compared to the former one.
Secondly the boards: ok the 84 L is what I expected, soft but nervous. My main surprise is the 104 L. Very stable but if you want to push it, it is very manoeuvrable for such a large board, It is still a wave board. The best combination is the 5.7 Eclipse with 104L or 4.7 guru and 84L for me.
I am convinced that Goya will become one of the most successfull brands in the coming years.
Keep in touch !
