Freestyle 4 Batten

Massive lift and ease of rotation drive progressive freestyle maneuvers. And they also drive the Bounce Pro, project baby and go to freestyle sail of choice for our team riders Antoine Albert, Yarden Meir, Jehyu Lee and Rob Warwick.

Feather light weight alongside the perimeter durability required in a technical freestyle sail. To make the lightest sail period, you have to shave off weight wherever possible, and the Bounce Pro offers the perfect platform to push this idea to the forward.

Ultra Lightweight body panels in Monofilm, Bi-Ply and Scrim, minimalized components, dedicated “lifting” draft profile, silky quiet rotation, all these details contribute to the feeling of lightness, lift and levitation of its pure freestyle design.

The new Bounce Pro features refined outlines with shorter boom lengths on sizes 3.8, 4.2, 4.4 and 4.8. This makes rotational and duck tricks easier. More shape forward and higher in the profile give more lift and pop. Refined foot batten shapes ease batten rotation and enhance the lifting nature of the sail.

In addition, applications are evolving in regards to Goya Windsurfing sails and foil windsurfing. Whereas the Fringe Pro has been dominating due to its light weight and easy handling, now the Bounce Pro is coming more into the picture because of its drive based in profile depth, and stability based in 4 battens. The Bounce Pro provides a much more constant “ON” power feeling, with plenty of drive and lift in the upper section of the sail. This can be beneficial for (sometimes heavier) riders looking for a bit of extra power and stability, but still in a lightweight build plan. That’s the Bounce Pro.

Construction

Pro Monofilm & Scrim

Monofilm Window Panels. Monofilm offers crystal clear optics, light weight and a crisp direct feel.

Scrim Body Panels. The colored Scrim material used in the main panels offers super strong durability, super light weight and a supple and alive feel throughout the sail.

Scrim Luff Panels. The new Scrim luff panels are making the sails feel super crisp and quick, while still being flexible. It’s simply a lighter feeling in the hands. The beautiful thing about Scrim is the general silkiness of the material, so much the opposite of the hardness associated with most laminates. The practical thing about Scrim is that it comes back to zero after being loaded. It stays the same. Whereas Dacron grows at various rates as you use it.

Features. Carbon Stretch Control, Titanium Clew Ring, Rip Stop Sleeve and a Molded Tack Fairing round off the peak quality package. Sleeve cut treatments as well as tack and foot reinforcements are now folded to increase durability and prevent edge fraying. A wide upper leech Marker reinforcement prevents breakdown of the leech in strong wind conditions such as Pozo, the Gorge and Omaezaki.
