Banzai X

Strength

Banzai X Pro
Powerwave 4 Batten

The newly launched Banzai X is effectively identical to the regular Banzai, except for the changed window material. As the name suggests, instead of Bi-Ply the Banzai X features X-Ply in it’s window. Other than that it is the same full throttle, explosive power, technical jump and maneuver World Cup performance wave sail.

X-Ply offers the same weight and feel of a clear window construction. The difference is increased durability through improved tear resistance. X-Ply film reinforced with dyneema yarns is incredibly tear resistant- the perfect body panel material for people looking for maximum durability.

Banzai X provides instant yet flexible power with very light handling alongside massive range in a wide variety of conditions. Equally at home in straight onshore wind and stormy surf, or brushed offshore reef break perfection. Banzai will give you the speed, control and confidence you need to push your performance level up. Banzai is designed to give you the power and neutral handling you need on the water, and the easy, reactive, finger-tip control you need in the air. Banzai also excels in wave style flat water/chop jump and maneuver sailing.

The Banzai X pairs with multi-fin and single-fin wave boards and matches best with the Custom Surfwave and One Freewave.

Recommended wave mast 90 Pro.
Optional flatwater and bump & jump mast 70 Pro.

Available in 3.15, 3.4, 3.7, 4.0, 4.2, 4.5, 4.7, 5.0, 5.3, 5.5, 5.7, 6.0, 6.3 square meters.

Available in red and green.

Of anti-tear.

Finally the Banzai is available with window yarns, to make it ready and able for even the nastiest of conditions and catapults.

Construction

Pro Scrim & X-Ply

The Scrim material used in the main panels offers super strong durability, super light weight and a supple and alive feel. Woven Dacron/Scrim hybrid luff panels, CSC™ Carbon Stretch Control, Poly Clew TCR™ Titanium Clew Rings, RSS™ Rip Stop Sleeve and the MTF™ Molded Tack Fairing round off the peak quality package. Sleeve cut treatments as well as tack and foot reinforcements are now folded to increase durability and prevent edge fraying. A scalloped upper leech reinforcement prevents breakdown of the leech from fluttering in strong wind conditions such as Omaezaki, the Gorge and Pozo.

X-Ply offers the same weight and feel of a clear window construction. The difference is increased durability through improved tear resistance. X-Ply film reinforced with yarns is incredibly tear resistant- the perfect body panel material for people looking for maximum durability.

Our season is almost over now and we have had lots of great sailing all summer at Margaret River.
I am truly loving the Banzai X 5.7.
It is without a doubt the best sail I have ever used.
So good in fact I haven't even tried the brand new 5.7 Fringe I got at the same time yet.
Well done crew.

Sailed again yesterday in pretty solid wind with the 5.7 Banzai X (90kg kiters were out with 7m2 kites, no other windsurfers).

I really liked the stability at the top end of the and it was probably a real solid 22 knots which is quite a bit for a 5.7.

I am yet to see how it performs in the super-light wind but I'm sure it gunna be great given the performance of the previous ones.

And its truly good to see less pink in the sail mate.

I think adding the X-ply to the window is the one smart move.

Another one of the greatest things with the banzai is changing the clews while sailing.

This allows you go out through the current with the sail really full and then depower to ride or simply adjust the sail to changes in the wind.

Just like reefing down the sail of a yacht.

One thing that seems apparent on using the sails twice is that the X-ply window seem less likely to crease when rigging and un-rigging which will definitely help extend the life of the window and the sail.
