| A few words about yourself. | I’m a board sports enthusiast of all sorts. I just like to get involved with passionate people. Surf, skate, windsurf – doesn’t matter just enjoy ! |
| What makes your ride? | Fun is what it’s all about. The obsession for progression keeps my mind ticking. |
| How much do you love to windsurf? | Enough to sacrifice almost everything in life for it, relationships, friends, work etc. If it’s windy I’ll bail on everything. |
| What is your most memorable session? | Lucky to say there has been so many that are seared deep into my brain. One of the best in recent years was sailing Caños de Meca one early morning. Super sketchy off shore winds and only Balz, myself and a few surfers out. Waves were cooking and the sets were terrifying, scored some of the best rides of my life followed by an evening at the local bar with live music. |
| What inspires you? | Anyone that goes after what they want with passion. In windsurfing my biggest inspiration from young was Tonky Frans, always smiling and having fun on the water sharing it with friends ! |
| Describe your gear and the conditions you use it in. | In the UK I love starboard tack freestyle wave conditions, 4.4 bounce and 89 Air is a dream set up when the conditions are on. If we are talking freestyle tech in controlled conditions nothing beats being stacked on 4.8m and a big board (99L bounce pro). |
| What does riding for Goya mean to you? | I’m still abit star struck to be involved with such core riders. GOYA is the best in the business pushing real windsurfing passion and that’s where I want to put all my energy. |
