Proton Pro

Race Single

The third version of the Proton Pro has an extremely wide wind range. The rockers have been substantially reworked, with a slightly lower entry rocker, improving planing and top speed significantly.

The outlines have gotten more parallel, meaning a wider tail for more power and a more comfortable stance as well as a slightly wider nose that gives a bit more lift and early planing. The deck has also been closely re-examined and gotten flatter, so when you are gybing the boards are more stable. The deck around the footsteps has been made more comfortable so you can ride for longer and push harder.

The bottom shapes have been reworked with quite a lot more V and V-Concave through the entire board, giving it more power and easier railing possibilities, plus extra control. The double step cutouts are still very generous, but occupy slightly less area, less area meaning less resistance and therefor more speed, while the wider outline delivers the lift needed in lighter winds. Specific size constructions for every size deliver a customized build, with full carbon fibres running in specialized directions. As the boards get bigger, the carbon construction gets stiffer. The rear 3/4 of the bottom come sanded bare.

Construction

Pro Full Carbon Hull.

Fused Cell Core. The Goya Pro Carbon & S-Glass construction comes with a Fused Cell Core made from EPS. Fused Cell Expanded Polystyrene is a high quality, low weight, rigid, closed cell foam used in advanced modern production boardmaking.

Hyper Skin HD. The entire board is covered in Hyper Skin HD. Hyper Skin is Goya’s proprietary High Density Foam Sandwich, delivering an immensely rigid structure at an extremely light weight. Covering deck, rails and bottom in it, gives Goya Pro boards their incomparable flex and longevity. A third stronger, stiffer and lighter than conventional boards.

Core Axis Reinforcements. These long and wide carbon patches act as superior backbones, making your board stiffer and eliminating distortions. They furthermore ready your board* to carry a hyrofoil. (* Proton 96, 116, 136).

Full Carbon Hull. Biaxial Carbon is the perfect reinforcement for adding global torsional stiffness across the board, which is why we cover the entire hull of our uncompromising Race boards in it, meaning deck, bottom and rails. Our Race boards are unforgivingly stiff because they are made to unapologetically win.

Der 2020er 137 ist das beste Brett, dass ich je gefahren bin. Gleitet super früh, sehr frei und gut zu kontrollieren! Bitte bringt ein Board zwischen den 137er und dem 117er raus.

Attractive and bold graphic design.

The board flies high and free over the chop and feels light on the feet, but remains always good controllable. Downwind reaches and jibing were also no problem and comfortable.

It is great fun to ride for a hobby surfer!

Ben van der Steen (Goya Windsurfing) rekindled his racing flame today as the Flying Dutchman enjoyed his best day in quite some time on the world tour. Van der Steen won every qualifying heat he sailed today to deservedly book his place in both winners’ finals and is currently ranked third.

I drive the 116 Proton and the 105 Bolt and I'm so happy with them. Meanwhile I completely switched to Goya and also the sails. Thanks to the Goya team for the great work. Regards Peter

Congratulations – Proton 136

I own your Proton 136, which I use for foiling purposes. I have other foilboards, but I must say that your board is exceptional and a real joy to sail. I treat it like a slalom board in the air and it really lets me press the foil and not just merely ride it. My first Goya board and I will buy more.
